Don Mateo Pechuga is a pure example of Michoacán. It is made with Cenizo or Cupreata maguey, making it unique since most exported Pechuga mezcals are made with Espadin maguey. During the third distillation, Emilio Vieyra's mother adds her special recipe, which includes chicken breast, venison, and a blend of select spices. This blend gives the mezcal a fuller, richer flavor.
This mezcal has a nose of toasted agave, tropical fruit, citrus, earthy notes, and spices. It has an exceptional texture and body on the palate.
